The Dovetailor is a tool anyone can use to cut perfect dovetails on square rough sawn timbers. The Dovetailor is made in the USA, and features solid steel construction for years of trouble free use. After years of testing Great Northern has perfected jigs in four different sizes that cut full compound dovetails that look like they were handcrafted by a professional. Dovetailors come complete with a matched Husqvarna chainsaw adapted to be used with the jig. |

Simply slide the Dovetailor jig onto the end of a log. Tighten the four wing nuts, lock the specially adapted saw on the jig, and following the tracks to the stops make the four cuts. Take the jig off and you have created a perfect dovetail in less than two minutes. |

Not only can you cut dovetails; the Dovetailor will make perfect square cuts using the square cut tracks. This is important for cutting logs to an exact length for log construction. |
